  • Alec Malyshev  (+)

Biography : He was born in Moscow in 1980. Journalist, musician and photo artist. Alec had graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2002. While being a professional journalist he was fond of photography and is making photos on film for more than 10 years. During these years, the artist managed to grow his own artistic style. When creating his works he uses overdue photos and vintage Soviet and European cameras. His experiments with a lenticular photo had opened a new space for creativity. By using different techniques Alec Malyshev creates stereophotographs and 3D images by revealing the aesthetics of textures and lighting effects with the tuning fork that comes from a film pattern. Its translucent, multilayered compositions combine an almost mystical atmosphere. Melancholic, sometimes aggressive stories of his works carry a profound meaning, turning the viewer's thoughts to memories of the past and the values of the present. Time, history, space spirit and images came together at this film crossroads under the raster of lenticular lenses.
