    Tour times:  Wed, Thurs, Fri, May 4-6  |  3pm  •  Sat and Sun, May 7-8  |  1pm & 3pm
    Public tours provide an overview of works presented at the fair. Guides will discuss how modern abstract and conceptual artworks provide an art historical introduction and context for the contemporary pieces presented.

    Public tours subject to cancellation or rescheduling based on enrollment of a minimum number of 6 people

    Contemporary and Modern Art History  |  Saturday and Sunday, May 7 & 8  |  1pm
    An introduction to exhibited artists who are in major museum collections, and discuss why they’re in the art history books.

    Trends and Emerging Artists  |  Saturday and Sunday, May 7 & 8  |  2pm
    After a decade of abstraction, young artists are now exploring representational art. We’ll look closely at both directions and analyze what accounts for these trends.

    Collecting Modern and Contemporary  |  Saturday and Sunday, May 7 & 8  |  3pm
    View works by artists who have achieved market success and those who are positioned to do so. Discuss the factors - such as museum and critical attention - that often lead to appreciation.

    All tours meet at the Art New York Information desk and last approximately one hour. Please note that all tours leave on time, so allow your group plenty of time to arrive.


    Tanya Traykovski

    Tanya Traykovski, the founder of Living International Art Consulting, has a strong background in art history. As an art advisor, she has over 10 years of experience in identifying emerging artists who have gone on to achieve widespread market, critical and curatorial recognition. She also has expertise in sourcing and purchasing undervalued European Modern and Post-war artworks. Traykovski additionally provides curatorial services, and art fair consulting and education.  Traykovski holds an A.B. in Art History from Duke University, an M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie’s Education, and an M.B.A. from Bocconi University, Milan.

    Joyce Siegel

    Joyce Siegel works with not-for-profit arts organizations in New York City and is also a working artist with a studio in Long Island City in Queens. She teaches art history to 3rd and 4th graders in New York City public schools and takes students on tours of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Siegel curates art exhibitions for La Guardia Community College and The Fountain House Gallery where she is developing an arts business program.  Siegel also gives art tours in Chelsea to adult groups.

    Siegel graduated from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Board of Directors at Art In General for over 6 years and currently serves on the Board of The Drawing Center. Siegel has held artist residencies at Yaddo and the Vermont Studio School.

    Adriana Merida
    Adriana Mérida is a native of Miami, Florida and has lived in New York since 1994. She is currently enrolled in the graduate program at Christie’s Education, working toward a Master of Arts in Modern and Contemporary Art and the Market. She enjoys collecting contemporary art and has served as an adviser to emerging art collectors. Merida’s professional background includes human resources work within the financial industry as well as fashion public relations.

    Merida was a student of theater and visual art at New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Seton Hall University.

    Maria Estrany-y-Gendre

    Maria Estrany-y-Gendre has been a collector and student of the Arts for the past fifteen years.  She is Argentine by birth and Spanish by heritage. She was awarded two Certificates from Christies Education  including  one in Collecting Contemporary Art and the second in Modern and Contemporary Art and is finishing a masters program in Modern & Contemporary Art and the Market there as well. She has lived on four continents having resided in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Tokyo, Japan; London, England and New York, US and speaks five languages.

    In addition to her Art Studies, Maria represents Centro Cultural Borges, a major art venue in Buenos Aires; has run VIP relations for PINTA NY, the foremost Latin American art fair in North America, and represents a variety of artists in the United States.

    Dara Schaefer
    Dara Schaefer, an architect, art advisor and curator is the founder of Wonderground Studios, which focuses on introducing new collectors to the art world and helping to build private and corporate art collections. She specializes in contemporary and emerging artists with a focus on mid-career living artists working in New York City. 

    In 2014 Dara curated- "AFTERSHOCK: The Impact of Radical Art" for Edelman Arts.  The exhibit included misrepresented artists who been demonized in the early 1990's for dealing with controversial feminist, gay, and racial issues.    Wonderground also works with non-profit institutions and has exhibited emerging art in a salon setting to raising funds for Kids with Cancer and curates art for the annual "Bent on Learning" benefit auctions.

    Anna Cozzaglio 

    Anna Cozzaglio's passion for life and the arts led her from Long Island to Vermont, Madrid, Boston, Buenos Aires, Sicily, and finally back to New York. Having grown up multi-cultural, she is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian. Cozzaglio's approach to the fine arts is rooted in two distinct points of view and lines of education - one from the study of art history, critical research and market knowledge, and the other, purely practical and formal - comes from time and study in the studio herself.She has been acknowledged for her ability to recognize the potential of early emerging artists and was awarded for her research and rediscovery of under recognized or overlooked artists who are now receiving international critical acclaim. She has worked at Christie's auction house and is currently supporting a prestigious private art collection.

    In addition to countless hours of study and studio work with artists around the world, Cozzaglio received her B.C.E in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie's Education.

    Henriette Müller

    Henriette Müller is passionate about contemporary art and the new business models arising in the contemporary art world. Müller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a Masters in Management from London Business School. Recently, she has finished her second Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Art and Markets at Christie’s Education New York. For her MA thesis, Müller focused on Marlene Dumas’s drawing series 1994 – now, and its relationship to concepts of beauty, portraiture and the grotesque. She completed internships with Christie’s and David Zwirner Gallery and has repeatedly led guided art tours. Müller is currently working as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.
